The Chemainus Valley House Project

We're collecting photographs of Chemainus Valley in the 2020s! Do you know the history of your house? When was it built; who lived there? We have only a few stories of old Chemainus Valley and some of its homes so we are collecting now for the future!

What do you know about your house?

The Chemainus Valley House Project

Looking for 2020 information for the future.

If you have any information about your home, we want it for our archives. Some day your grandchild may want to know what their grandmother's house looked like in 2020.

Do you know when your home was built?

If you know the age of your home, what is it? Who do you think or know built your home? Was it a dairy or a hen house? Any history you have, we would like to put into our archives.

Send a photograph of your home and the street address to the museum.

Email it in. We will put the information into our archives and not on the WEB.

Or come see us. Bring in a photograph, and we can scan  it. See our Contact Us for more information.

Do you know who owned the house before you?

If you know anything about previous owners, we would like that information for our archives.

Share the big news

Do you know anyone who isn't on the internet, but know about their house. We would like that information too. Tell your family and your friends, your neighbours! Do you have a photograph of your grandmother's house? Share the information

The House Project is about 2020 for future generations

We would love to have your house's story. If you own a business in Chemainus, we also want that history.
